Under Contact in 2 Days - Waupaca Chain O Lakes
Waupaca Chain Property Goes Under Contract in Less Than Two Days
Another Waupaca Chain O’ Lakes property has gone under contract almost immediately after hitting the market—another indication of the continued demand for waterfront property on the Waupaca Chain.
This property, located on Columbia Lake directly behind the popular Wheel House Restaurant, went under contract less than two days after it was listed for sale.
The accompanying drone photograph provides a great perspective on the property's location and shows just how close it is to the Wheel House and the surrounding Chain O’ Lakes area.
Demand for Waupaca Chain Property Remains Strong
A property going under contract in less than two days is another reminder that desirable Waupaca Chain properties can attract buyers very quickly.
Waterfront real estate on the Chain is a limited commodity. There are only so many properties available, and in many cases owners hold onto their lake homes for years or even generations. When an attractive property becomes available, buyers who have been waiting for the right opportunity may be prepared to act quickly.
The 2026 sales numbers are also worth watching.
So far in 2026, 10 Waupaca Chain properties have sold, with two additional properties currently under contract and waiting to close.
That compares with 10 total property sales during all of 2025.
If the two pending transactions close as expected, the number of Waupaca Chain transactions in 2026 will already exceed the total number of sales recorded during all of last year.
What Does This Mean for Buyers and Sellers?
For buyers, it is another example of why being prepared can be important when looking for Waupaca Chain waterfront property. A desirable property may not remain available long enough to spend several days deciding whether to take the next step.
For property owners considering selling, continued buyer activity is encouraging. However, every waterfront property is different. Location, lake frontage, water depth, lot characteristics, home condition, improvements and recent comparable sales can all have a significant effect on both value and marketability.
That's why looking only at an asking price—or even a final selling price—doesn't always tell the entire story of a Waupaca Chain transaction.
